OILZINE.COM has long been regarded as a useful yet entertaining and content-rich site.

Aimed at ‘healthily cynical’ 18-35 year olds, OILZINE.COM was launched in 1999 by on-line publishers and web-design agency Olive Internet Group PLC.

The site holds original and fresh content in the form of reviews and features, and offers services that help users find accommodation, buy travel tickets, find out what’s on in their area, or start a new career. It also has an exhaustive list of links to university websites.

However, things have changed…

“We felt that after nearly 2 years it was time to freshen things up a bit,” explained Stephen Pryke, editor of OILZINE.COM, “but don’t worry, only the appearance has changed. The site is still as irreverent and sarcastic as ever. All the elements that made it notorious are present, but with the addition of a regulars section with contributions from Dave Hacker, James Douglas, and ‘Captain Dirk’, among others.”

Still boasting an impressive list of partners including The Royal Navy and GoJobsite, and offering free banner advertising space for selected charities, OILZINE.COM has grand plans for the future. “Not wanting to give too much away, our plans for the future include interactive foreign language phrasebooks, free email, chat rooms, advice sections (financial, medical, etc.), and Mpg / MP3 archives.”
